Please review our terms and conditions regarding garment care, drop-offs, and liability.

1. Introduction

At Pandey Press, we are committed to providing high-quality ironing services to ensure your garments are handled with care and returned to you in the best possible condition. This service policy outlines the terms and conditions that govern our garment care and pressing services.

2. Scope of Services

We strictly offer the following service:

  • Ironing: Professional pressing of clean, pre-washed clothes and linens to remove wrinkles and provide a crisp finish.

*Please note: We do not offer washing, dry cleaning, or stain removal services. All garments must be clean and dry upon drop-off.

3. Service Procedures

3.1 Item Drop-Off

  • Customers must drop off their clothes at our Blackburn location at their scheduled time.
  • Items must be handed over adequately stored for transit (in bags or baskets). Baskets must not overflow.
  • Customers should provide clear instructions for any special care requests (e.g., delicate items, folding vs. hanging preferences).

3.2 Processing Time

  • Ironing: 1-2 business days, depending on the volume.
  • Customers will be notified immediately of any unexpected delays.

3.3 Special Handling

Customers must notify us in advance if garments require special attention (e.g., highly delicate fabrics). We take all reasonable precautions but cannot be held liable for damage to garments due to pre-existing conditions such as weak fabric, color bleeding, or incorrect garment care labels.

4. Quality Assurance

4.1 Inspection

Every garment is carefully inspected for specific care requirements before processing. If any pre-existing damage is noticed, we will notify the customer promptly.

4.2 Garment Damage

Although rare, we take responsibility for any damage caused directly during our pressing process. Our liability is limited to the value of the garment as determined by the customer, or a maximum of 70% of the item's value. Customers should inspect items upon pick-up, and any issues should be reported immediately.

5. Drop-off and Pick-up Services

  • Location: All services operate strictly out of our location at 14 Ernest Street, Blackburn, VIC 3130.
  • No Delivery: We do not offer pick-up or delivery services. Customers are fully responsible for dropping off and collecting their items.

6. Customer Responsibilities

6.1 Garment Condition

Customers must ensure that garments are completely clean, dry, and free of any hazardous materials (e.g., pins, coins, or items in pockets) before drop-off.

6.2 Garment Tags

Items should be accompanied by their care tags. Customers must inform us of any special pressing instructions if a care tag is missing.

6.3 Unclaimed Items

Garments must be picked up within 30 days from the completion date. After this period, unclaimed items may incur a storage fee of $30, or may be donated or disposed of at our discretion.

7. Pricing & Payment Terms

  • All services are priced according to the type of garment. Additional fees may apply for difficult items. Minimum charge is $30.
  • Payment must be made at the time of service pick-up.

8. Refund & Dispute Resolution

8.1 Refund Policy

If a customer is unsatisfied with the pressing service, we will attempt to resolve the issue by offering a re-press or a refund in cases of significant service failure. Refund requests must be made within 5 days of item pick-up. Pandey Press will determine the refund percentage based on the condition and age of the garment (depreciation will be considered).

8.2 Damage Claims

If a customer believes their garment has been damaged due to our service, they must report the issue within 5 days of pick-up. We will assess the damage and, if determined to be our fault, compensate the customer based on the value of the garment. Customers should provide proof of purchase where possible.

9. Liability

While we take the utmost care to ensure the quality of your garments, Pandey Press will not be held responsible for damage caused by factors beyond our control, such as:

  • Natural wear and tear.
  • Fabric weaknesses or hidden defects.
  • Incorrect customer-provided garment instructions or incorrect manufacturer labeling.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect our customers’ privacy. Any personal information collected during the booking process will only be used for the purposes of providing services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

11. Amendments to Policy

Pandey Press reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes will be updated on our website.
